Fantasy Pickleball Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you:

• Create an account (email address and display name, provided by Google or Apple when you sign in)
• Use the App (league participation, draft selections, gameplay data)
• Join the launch list on our website (email address only)
• Contact us for support

We automatically collect:

• Device information (device type, operating system)
• Usage data (features used, pages visited, timestamps)
• Performance data (crash reports, error logs)
• Firebase Analytics data (anonymized usage patterns)
• Push notification tokens (for delivery of notifications you opt into)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App
• Process fantasy league activities (drafts, scoring, standings)
• Send notifications about league events, scores, and updates
• Manage your virtual currency balance
• Enable social features (friend discovery, league invitations)
• Improve the App through analytics and usage patterns
• Detect and prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Other users: Your display name, league standings, and achievements are visible to other users.
• Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, hosting, analytics, and cloud functions. Google’s privacy policy applies to their processing of your data.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (us-central1 region) and secured using Firebase Authentication. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
• Firebase Security Rules restricting data access
• Server-side validation for all data modifications
• Rate limiting to prevent abuse
• Password hashing (handled by Firebase Auth)

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics. League history and scores may be retained in anonymized form for the integrity of historical records.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental consent to use the App.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (via account deletion in settings)
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
• Withdraw consent at any time

7b. Launch List & Marketing Email

If you enter your email address on fantasypickleball.ai to join the launch list, we store only that address, the date you joined, and which page or referrer you came from. We use it for one purpose: to tell you when Pickled is available to download.

We do not sell or rent this list, and we do not use it for advertising. Every message we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can remove yourself at any time by emailing support@fantasypickleball.ai with the subject “Unsubscribe” — we will remove your address within 10 business days, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. Joining the launch list does not create an account and is separate from any data described above.

8. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications about league events, score updates, and app announcements. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the App. Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the App.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication (account management)
• Cloud Firestore (data storage)
• Firebase Cloud Functions (server-side processing)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications)
• Firebase Analytics (usage analytics)
• Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting; collects IP address, device model, OS version)

Each service is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
